Chelsea & Dave

A mid-summer wedding in Tuscany

Millennials, driven by a sense of adventure, are drawn to travel and explore unique destinations, even if they're not the easiest to access. However, the thrill of the journey is only one of the main focuses. What truly matters is the opportunity to celebrate their special day in a location with a deep personal significance, whether it's a long-forgotten village of their grandparents or a hidden gem they stumbled upon during their travels.

The return to their heritage played a pivotal role in Chelsea's and Dave's, a young couple from Massachusetts, US. With the groom's parents hailing from the South of Italy, their hearts were set on the stunning Amalfi coast. However, they eschewed the popular destinations of Positano or Amalfi in favor of a lesser-known, yet deeply meaningful, location- the small, vibrant coastal town of Vietri sul Mare. Renowned for its ceramics, this hidden gem of the Amalfi coast offered a nostalgic blend of sea views, artistry, beauty, and simplicity.

The result was a beautiful American wedding. A romantic celebration set against stunning coastal cliffs and the azure Mediterranean.

The wedding venue, Villa Divina, was a true oasis on a hill, surrounded by lush lemon groves and Mediterranean flora. Its unique panoramic position, adorned with hanging gardens and flowering terraces, offered breathtaking views of the Amalfi coast. This idyllic setting and a nearby picturesque church for the ceremony created a romantic atmosphere that was hard to match.

The bride, radiant in a white gown, and the groom, elegant in a tailored suit, exchanged vows in the quaint church adorned with intricate Italian tiles.

Following the heartfelt ceremony, the reception unfolded in the scenic villa overlooking the sea. All the décor and flowers were in theme with the colors of the shining cost. Guests indulged in a feast of authentic southern Italian cuisine, including fresh seafood, handmade pasta, and the renowned limoncello. As the sun sets, painting the sky in vibrant hues, the air was filled with the clinking of glasses and joyous laughter.

Under twinkling fairy lights, the villa's terrace transformed into a dance floor where loved ones danced to a mix of American and Italian music. The soothing sound of waves added to the magic of the night, creating unforgettable memories in the picturesque beauty of Vietri sul Mare.
