Forever begins in Tuscany
Sarah & Wassel are a charming young Syrian couple who lived in Geneva. When they first contacted me, they had in mind a wedding in Tuscany and needed help to organize their destination dream wedding in Italy. They wanted a venue with an extraordinary view but, at the same time, close to Florence.
Tuscany is, without any doubt, one of the most beautiful areas in Italy. With its incredible scenic views and historical cities, Tuscany brings infinite possibilities for stunning locations. We set a day to go visit the many venues we had preselected together. But the moment Sarah and Wassel laid their eyes on Villa di Maiano they knew this was their dream location.
The Villa Maiano is a 15th-century villa that lays on the green hills approximately 15 minutes from Florence. Because of its magical and elegant architecture, it has been used as a set for films like “Room with a View” by James Ivory and Franco Zeffirelli’s “Tea with Mussolini.” The gardens, the majestic facade, the inside frescos, and the splendid panoramic terrace with a breathtaking view of the city of Florence made it the perfect place for the elegant wedding Sarah and Wassel were dreaming of hosting for their family and friends.
